On January 11th, Jinshi Data reported that on the 10th, Ecuadorian media reported that an armed attack occurred in the coastal city of Manta in the western Manabi Province, resulting in 5 deaths. The report stated that around 23:00 local time, a group of armed individuals broke into a two-story building in Manta City and opened fire on the people inside, causing 4 deaths on the spot and 1 death after being taken to the hospital. The police said that 3 of the victims had a history of drug trafficking and illegal possession of firearms, and this attack may be related to drug trafficking activities in Manabi Province.
