It is unlikely that the Central Bank of England will cut interest rates in March, but it is more likely to cut interest rates in May.

On February 7th, Jin10 data reported that due to concerns about persistent inflation, the Bank of England is unlikely to cut interest rates in March, and the next interest rate cut is more likely to occur in May. Bank of America analysts said, “The Bank of England (on Thursday) adheres to its cautious guidance, emphasizing the need to adopt a ‘cautious,’ gradual and incremental meeting decision-making approach in the face of increased uncertainty, and it is necessary to maintain policy restriction.” As the UK’s economic rise deteriorates, analysts expect the Bank of England to cut interest rates once per quarter for the remainder of 2025.
