South Korean authorities said they are ready to lift the ban on stock short selling at the end of this quarter.

On February 14, Jinshi Data reported that Cui Xiangmu, the acting president of South Korea, stated on Friday that the authorities will communicate with market participants and prepare to lift the stock short selling ban scheduled to be implemented in November 2023 at the end of this quarter. The authorities will closely follow the financial market due to the high uncertainty of U.S. trade policy and global geopolitical factors.
