Actually, everyone understands that whether it's PFP or memberships, the most valuable thing in the short term is attention. Whether people stay long-term depends entirely on whether you have a "reason to stay." Recently, I signed up for a membership channel, only to find that the benefits are flashy and superficial; in reality, it's just giving you an emoji pack and a whitelist... To be honest, what I bought wasn't an avatar, but the anxiety of "not falling behind."
On the other hand, those who treat their brand as a product, even if the benefits are simple, like continuously providing tools/content/offline meetups, will eventually turn into habits. Now, when new L1/L2 projects launch incentives, they immediately attract TVL, while veteran users complain about mining, farming, and selling. I can understand that: attention comes quickly and disperses just as fast. Anyway, I'm now more frugal—first, I want to see if project teams are willing to treat old users as people; otherwise, the money saved on gas isn't enough to buy lessons.
