ChainCatcher News, the UK Treasury announced on Monday that the UK and US governments will establish a “Transatlantic Future Markets Working Group” to reduce the bureaucratic procedures for companies entering the capital markets of both countries and to improve cooperation in the digital asset sector.
The working group will submit a report within 180 days, exploring short-term collaborative improvements and long-term options, especially in the wholesale digital markets. The initiative has been approved by UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves and US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and will be jointly chaired by officials from both countries’ finance ministries, with participation from regulatory agencies.
