He pointed out that Bitcoin’s decline is the result of multiple converging trends, including Wall Street changing the rules of the Bitcoin game. As Bitcoin is integrated into the traditional financial system, some early holders are exiting. However, Bitcoin’s risk is also far lower than at any point in history. Its decentralization now spans from individual retail investors to large financial institutions, and has proven its resilience through multiple economic crises. Yet lower risk also leads to lower returns. While Bitcoin is expected to continue outperforming stock indices over the next decade, it will not repeat the compound annual growth rates of over 80% seen in the past. Anthony Pompliano also disclosed that he personally increased his Bitcoin holdings in 2025 and quoted Charlie Munger’s famous saying: “Vast fortunes come from waiting, not from trading.”
