ChainCatcher Nachrichten, berichtet von Bitsmedia, hat die russische Staatsduma in der dritten und endgültigen Lesung ein Gesetz verabschiedet, das die Verfahren zur Beschlagnahme und Einfrierung von Kryptowährungen im Strafverfahren klar regelt.
Das Gesetz bestätigt den rechtlichen Status von Kryptowährungen als Eigentum und verlangt bei der Beschlagnahme eine detaillierte Aufzeichnung der Vermögensart, -menge und Wallet-Adressen. Es erlaubt, beschlagnahmte Kryptowährungen auf spezielle staatliche Wallets zu übertragen und ermächtigt Regierungsbehörden, in Zusammenarbeit mit ausländischen Börsen Beschlagnahmungsmaßnahmen durchzuführen. Das Gesetz bedarf noch der Zustimmung des Föderationsrates und der Unterzeichnung durch den Präsidenten und tritt 10 Tage nach der offiziellen Verkündung in Kraft. Zuvor hatte das Verfassungsgericht Russlands bereits erlaubt, dass Bürger ihre Rechte an digitalen Währungen vor Gericht schützen können, auch wenn diese nicht beim Finanzamt gemeldet wurden.
